Als Basis für diesen L 30 diente ein Strombecker Body aus den sechziger Jahren. Ziel war es, ein hochdetailliertes Scale-Modell dieses Klassikers zu bauen. Eine ausführliche Story zu diesem Fahrzeug finden Sie auch hier.
This car is basically a Strombecker body from the sixties. The goal was to assemble a model car with todays standards, so it costs some work to remove the "bath-tub" driver and replace the whole interior and dashboard by scratchbuild items. Also the rear vents became added and lots of fotoetched and white metal detail parts. Again a driver figure without helmet became installed. I tried to paint the Fujimi-head to make it look a little like Jim Clark. As the L 30 was an unsuccessful race car, it´s not well documented and it was hard to find good pics. At last I decided to build a version that looks nearly like Jimmies car at the first races in America. Sits on a Schöler Pantera GTS chassis.
